Effective Date: June 2026
We collect information you provide directly when creating your account or using Badda: account credentials (name, username, email address, profile picture, bio, date of birth); content you create or upload (short videos, photos, captions, comments, direct messages); and authentication data if you sign in using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. With your permission, we also request access to your device's Camera, Microphone, and Photo Library to allow recording and uploading media.
We use your information to: operate, maintain, and personalize the Badda app and feed; enable social features like following, direct messaging, commenting, and sharing; deliver notifications for likes, comments, and messages; process media uploads securely; perform pre-publication post review and moderation (approving or rejecting content to ensure safety); detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or safety violations; and display ads to support our free services.
Badda provides granular controls over your content and privacy. You can adjust post privacy to 'Everyone', 'Friends', or 'Only You'. You can control who can view your liked/saved posts and who can comment on your posts. Direct messages are private between participants. You can block or report any user or content at any time.
We do not sell your personal data. To provide Badda's features, we share necessary data with trusted service providers: Google Firebase (authentication, Firestore database, Remote Config, App Check); Cloudflare R2 (encrypted cloud storage for uploaded videos and images); Google Mobile Ads / AdMob (ad serving and frequency capping); Firebase Crashlytics & Analytics (anonymous crash logs and usage metrics); and Giphy (GIF search). We may disclose information if required by applicable law or legal process.
Badda displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device advertising identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID or iOS IDFA) to serve relevant ads and prevent fraud. You can manage personalized ad preferences in your device settings. We also use Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose app crashes and improve stability.
Your data is protected using industry-standard security practices. Account data and social graphs are stored securely in Google Firebase Cloud Infrastructure. Uploaded media assets are stored encrypted in Cloudflare R2 storage. All data transfers use encrypted HTTPS/TLS protocols.
You have full control over your data. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time inside the app by going to Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account. Account deletion permanently removes your profile, authored posts, comments, likes, saves, and direct messages from active servers within 30 days.
Badda: Short Videos & Social is strictly for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Badda maintains a zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). Any violating content or account is immediately deleted, banned, and reported to law enforcement authorities. For full details on our zero-tolerance policy, reporting mechanisms, and child safety point of contact, please read our dedicated Child Safety Standards Policy.
Badda requests permissions for Camera (to capture videos/photos), Microphone (to record audio for videos), Storage/Photo Library (to select media for upload), and Push Notifications (to alert you to interactions). You can revoke permissions at any time via your device settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be announced in the app. Continued use of Badda following any updates signifies your agreement to the revised policy.
